| DAY 01 Arrive Delhi ` |
Welcome by presentable representative of Impact Holidays with
marigold garland with cheerful smile & Transfer to hotel. Overnight
stay.
After breakfast morning sightseeing of New Delhi by private car with
English speaking guide, consisting of drive through the Raisina Hills-
Parliament House, India Gate, President House, 16th century tomb of Emperor
Humayun built of Marble & Red stone in typical Mughal fashion, Lotus
temple (Bahai Temple) & Qutab Minar.
Afternoon sight seeing of
Old Delhi is highlighted Shah Jahan's Red Fort, the bustling market place of
Chandni Chowk by Rikshaw Puller Ride, Raj Ghat, the cremation site of
Mahatma Gandhi. Evening return to the Red Fort to watch the "Sun et
Lumire" which is an inter play of colorful lights and sound tracing the
history of monument till date. Gather together to meet the Indian family
followed by welcome dinner and cocktail. Overnight stay at Hotel .
| DAY 03 DELHI-KULLU-MANALI

Depart for Kullu by air. On arrival at Bhuntar Airport, transfer to
Manali.
| DAY 04 MANALI-JISPA (10 hrs)

Start on road journey from Manali to Jispa by jeep, passing the
Rohtang Passen Route. Drive down the other side of the pass into a more open
valley through which flows River Chandra. Lunch near the village of Sissu.
After a few kilometers, drive on valley floor and start climbing the
hillside to come to Keylong, a quaint village, once an important stop on the
erstwhile trade route between India and Chine/Tibet.
| DAY 05 JISPA-SARCHU (10 hrs) |
Depart for Darcha, only 6 km from Jispa, a meeting point for many
Trans-Himalayan trails. Proceed towards Baralacha. A steep climb to a spur
on the

hillside brings you face to face with the picturesquely situated
Darcha-Sumdo village, across the Bhaga River. Continue driving to Bhagsu
from where it is a torturous up-hill drive, rising about 1,000 meters in
about 30 km. Patches of snow and ice, perennial at these altitudes, appear
by the roadside. Arrive on top of the Baralacha Pass and a spectacular
awe-inspiring panorama of snow-capped peaks and ranges and blue skies
emerges. There are lakes and ponds where migratory Siberian birds stop on
the way to and from sanctuaries in India. The landscape changes
dramatically, from green mountain slopes to bare mountain slides, beige and
brown, oxidized granite and streaks of lime and slate. After an hour's drive
you come to the vast Sarchu plains, at an altitude of about3,900-odd meters.

another circuitous drive up to the famous Galta loops, consisting of
32 hairpin bends, and come out in Pang Valley. Cross to the other side of
Pang, Tzanspo river to continue drive up to the other plateau for a long
traverse on the legendary Moore plains, the highest of the Tibetian plateaus
at 4,200 meters. Continue driving to Tanglangla, the highest pass on the
journey that commands breathtaking views of the Zanskar range. A pleasant
drive of about 20 km brings you to the Ladakhi hamlet, Gya, which is
heralded by prayer-flags. Pass by a few more villages and you reach the
great Indua river. Further, the drive towards to Leh brings to view many
monasteries. The Kanglachen, 6,020 meters, soars up into the blue sky,
dominating the triangular valley of Leh.
Morning free. Afternoon half-day city sightseeing tour including
Shankar Gompa, Spituk and Phyang Monasteries. Evening visit Ladakhi home.
Full day excursion to Shey, Thicksey & Hemis Monasteries.
